Drowned in Darkness
I’m drowned in darkness,
And I can’t get out.
Suffocating, dying,
Will you save me from this doubt?
This depression I’ve gone in,
Sucks all the confidence
I still have within.
The cloud over my eyes
Has become so dense,
I just can’t seem to see
The things right in front of me.
Afraid to let go,
Afraid to hold on,
I’m drowned in darkness,
And I can’t get out.

Bring your head above water, so you can see the light.
Reach out to my thought, so I can tell you it's alright.
I know it is, but I'm still sinking.
Nothing can save me,
I've already gone through that.
Counselors are idiots, they brought me lower.
I thought they were supposed to be smarter.
I didn't go there by option.
I had to, so I can blame them.
But I like how they showed me slowly into the dark,
Instead of caught in between.
My heart goes out to you. what has happened in your life to make you so sad.
